P4P compares pulled weight with the dog’s own body weight.

P4P shows relative pulling strength

A dog with 40 P4P has pulled forty times its own body weight.

The calculation

Step 1 Record body weight 25 kg The dog’s weight at the competition.

Step 2 Record pulled weight 1,000 kg The successful competition result.

Step 3 Pull ÷ body weight 1,000 ÷ 25 = 40 The final P4P result.

Overall ranking

P4P is the main Weight Pull performance used by event rating and current rating. Highest pulled weight remains a separate statistic and record.

The dog keeps one rating inside the organization. The same rating can produce an overall rank and a separate rank in the dog’s latest weight class.

P4P is shown within the selected organization’s competition context, using its published results and rules.

Why is P4P more important than highest weight?

Large dogs can normally pull more kilograms. P4P accounts for body weight and is therefore the competition value used to determine the stronger relative performance.
